Brownfield SiteThese are all the brownfield sites located in Pennslyvania.

- The Almono site is located along the Monongahela River
- It was orginially the J&L Industrial Company in 1884
- RIDC bought the land in 2002 to reconstruct the site for couple of reasons
- Economincally
- Have profit and non-profit businesses/organizations locate their buildings here
- This will then intern create more jobs which will increase the nation's GDP and the city's income
- Socially
- Attract new people to the site, more specifically the neighborhoods surrounding this area
- Attract groups to come to the site to make a positive change
- Provide access to the river for all the people
